With Kino's Journey recently getting a new season, I think early 00's anime deserve a modernisation. I think some grittier VA, a souped up colour palette to compliment Italy, and more animation outside of the action scenes to make the rest of the show feel less static justifies my want of a remake of at least S1

This is one of the things that made season 2 fucking awful. Gunslinger girl season 1 was perfect and doesn't need to be remade at all

I think the change in art style was awful but not necessarily the change in colour. For theepisode where Henrietta and Jose are on holidays in Sicily, I want to see the ocean pop and the sun having a radiant effect on the island. I still want a murky feeling for around the streets near churches, the dulled colours seem reasonable there, and they actually help illustrate the cybornetic element of the girls, but the whole season being so toned down actually dragged the visuals down for me
