Nausicaa manga is an absolute masterpiece. Why haven't you read it yet?
I did and I agree
Do I read or watch this? Or manga then anime?

Anime then manga
>>160507906
It's probably the only manga I would call that.
>>160508011
Both, first watch anime then read manga.
>>160507906
I did and it's shit.

How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love Climate Change
I really enjoyed the battle tactics in the siege arc.

Read the manga first, the film is honestly pretty bad. It looks good, but the story is a mess.
>>160508595
That's why you watch the anime first, dummy.

My waifu
whY are the scanlations FLIPPED!
>>160508595
So if I didn't like the anime I might still like the manga?
>>160510881
Definitely, the manga is great. The anime is just a gigantic mess because of them having to turn the first 3 volumes of the manga into a stand-alone work which meant they had to introduce the god warrior way too early and cut out the Dorokians all together making Pejitei the enemy or something equally retarded. The anime looks really nice, but storyline it's terrible.
I'd recommend you read the first 3 volumes of the manga at least and see what you think after that.
I own the deluxe hard cover. (Only read the digital though.)

because they are scans from old viz release

my only regret is the hiatus between original vols 4 & 5 was so long that I missed the original printing. So I have 1-4 and 6&7, and had to use a perfect edition vol 5 to fill in.
its literally the best manga ever madeafter Berserk
I would unironically admit that NausicaƤ is my number one favourite manga.
>don't mention warriors of the wind
Guys, please post some ugly pages from Nausicaa to deter me from buying the hardcover box set on a whim.
>>160511373
Thanks. I'll give it a try.
>>160515242
buy it. its cheap anyway
>>160515242
Sure
I'm still not sure what she did at the end was right or not
>>160516478
That's what makes it great.

I disagree with that take on the film. It's inferior to the manga, of course, but on its own it's a serviceable little adventure story with an environmental message. It's no Princess Mononoke, but I think it's on the same level as Castle in the Sky.

I love the movie. The music, animation and atmosphere are extremely immersive. Seeing it as a kid made me a lifelong lover of sky, clouds and flying.
>>160508011
Read first.
