It really makes me wish we had cicadas over here.

Evangelion
No specific reason. I just rewatch it every summer. Why? I don't know, I just do it. Same with Utena, but in the winter (December, usually)

I'm pretty new to the anime world, but Shiki has been the only anime I've seen so far that I was genuinely impressed with (although it doesn't help that almost all the animes I've seen have been based on gimmicks).

That's also my summer anime. It reminds me of the summer of 2011, when it aired, and when anime was last good (well, mostly when my life wasn't total shit)

Gurren Lagann is the quintessential summer anime for me, but Tatami Galaxy as well as NGE are comfy summer ones.
