I've been considering pixel work and spriting for M.U.G.E.N. as a free-time hobby in the past but the failure of pixelfag makes me worried that I'll end up the same way.

I really don't think that Gappy is as good a JoJo. I particularly enjoy his combat scenes and his rationale in those types of situations, but otherwise he is but a blind, bumbling slate on which characters project their stories for him to interact with. And by interact I do not mean apply his own values and morals and quirks to the specific situation, thus modifying it. I mean lacting like a player character in a video game, blank as so the real player can project onto him.

Now some may say that's the whole point, but I dare to disagree. Previous JoJo's had great interaction with the enviroment and characters, specificaly because they were rugged and changed things in their own way. Johnny and Joseph spring to mind. In their respective parts people would change their views or consider other points, even change sides as a result of the main JoJo's uniqueness. And just because you can use a smug picture of Gappy to say "fuck off"to pixel or naranciafag doesn't make him a good JoJo. I'd even say Jotaro has more smugger pics than him (when he smiles that is)

And the amnesia thing doesn't count as an excuse since his original baby daddies had much more flavour than he had.

That said, anybody want some edits?

Currently it's Jolyne because she got a one shot wearing the best of a certain Gucci collection (mostly from the flora and resort line). Jotaro, Joseph, and Jonathan are also strong contenders because they have a couple of drawings in which they're wearing late 80's Missoni and /fa/ illustration inspirations from Antonio and Tony Viramontes to name a few. Gappy has that one spread that's from UNIQLO I think, so he has what it takes to be /fa/. Josuke, Giorno, and Johnny have yet to get an actual fashion spread so judging by those terms, they're the least /fa/.

In other words... Jolyne>Joseph=Jotaro=Jonathan>Gappy>Josuke=Giorno=Johnny

If we are judging by posing inspired by /fa/ illustrations and photoshoots, then switch Jolyne for either Giorno or Josuke. This can be interchangeable because even Jonathan, Joseph, and Jotaro have several cool /fa/
inspired poses. Johnny and Jolyne's seem to be drawn with anatomical challenges if you were to compare it with the main source of picture while Gappy's poses are the most simple and dare I say sleek. It all goes down to personal preference in this part desu.

Outfit wise, I want to say Giorno because he's cute af, but desu he only wears a bedazzled patterned school uniform and at the end the same outfit but with added brocade embroidery, so not much of an evolution or variety going on. The only ones that got real /fa/ variety treatment were Joseph, Josuke (he's the one with true expensive /fa/ taste despite being mostly seen with his uniform), Jonathan, Jotaro (even though he's married to his hat and coat), Jolyne (her outfits are mostly inspired by clubwear and resort couture from the 70-90's), and Johnny to an extent. Gappy is committed to the sailor outfit because of obvious plot reasons. So, who's the most /fa/ outfit wise? It's either Joseph or Josuke.


As for non JoJo... Rohan, Dio, Bruno, Abbacchio, Caesar, Hato, Kira, and Kars are /fa/ with Rohan being #1.
