If it looks like the post office fucked up and damaged your plastic butts. Consider the following.

DO NOT open the package and if possible take pictures of it BEFORE you accept it from the deliveryman. Regardless, take pictures.

Afterwards, open the package and if you see ANY damage that wasn't supposed to be there, go to your local post office and file a damage claim. it takes about a month or two for everything to get processed since you also have to contact who you bought the figure from and the postal service has to investigate to confirm you aren't committing mail fraud, but for the most part insurance will pay out and you'll get the cost of the figure back.
