What will future generations watch anime on?
I've been using it for all these years RealMediaPlayer was the start and then MPC until today.
It's not like it's going to stop working
shitty web players, like the normies and their netflix

Windows XP is still being used all over the world.
Ending support doesn't make the program vanish off the face of the earth.still sucks though.

This is the future... the future that normies selected..
>>159959545
It'll still be around
MPV is still chugging along too
It's a fucking open source program, build it yourself if you really want some features.
Seriously what do you even find different with these releases, they play videos and they all work.

quicktime
Just use VLC
I use mpv anyways for the keybindings and easier configuration.
mpchc is ok for swf files though

In the future, near or far, some OS or driver update will break it.

On official streaming sites with localized and improved subs and dubs that they will pay for premium memberships in order to watch the same week as it airs in Japan rather than a week later like those ad viewing casual members. .

Every release fixed obscure video issues that could crash the player that one person in thousands experienced.
I use Plex which uses mpv anyway.
I still think it's weird that there are people who manually click on files they want to play and just watch them in their default video player from start to finish.
>>159959545
well shit if it's not going to get more releases I might as well just uninstall the version I haven't updated in years

Correct joke answer.
>>159960037
How easy/haard is plex to set up for someone that doesn't know anything about servers?
I have a friend that uses it and it seems pretty nice but I wouldn't even know where to begin.
>>159959545
MPV, like any sane person at this point.
>>159959545
Stream ofc
>>159959545
i don't get it
>this thread again

Pretty damn easy to pretty damn hard depending on tech-competent you are. I'm mediocre with nix and it took me about 30min last time I set up plex on a headless debian box.
GOM PLAYER
