I experienced a case when those damn claims were true. There will never be an actual change when people say you should just watch till episode so und so where it will get good. Just drop it as soon as it starts boring you or when you think there won't be any upcoming worthwhile reveal or story development. Series that are shit during the first episodes are always shit at the end too.
