Pretty much, maybe I just look at LSSJ wrong but I felt like given what we know back during the Cell saga about what it took to get to SSJ2 and the mistake in bulking up and so on, in my head I thought "I bet LSSJ2 would be a slimmer form"

Gohan is awesome, 'cause he's probably the best character out of Z. As a toddler, he scares the shit out of his spooky space uncle, gets trained by a demon and is a huge part of the Saiyan arc ending well. Then on Nameck, for the first 3/4 he's pretty much the main character, basically doing all he can to keep things from going to shit. Then he finishes off the Android/Cell saga as the biggest badass. honestly though, sometimes you just gotta be consistent, like you know a character like Polnareff or Kakyoin can't do shit to someone like Dio or Naruto in Jojo, you know someone like Sakura can't do shit to someone like Madara, Sasuke, or Naruto in Naruto, and you know someone like Chad can't do shit to someone like Yhwach, Aizen, or Ichigo in Bleach.

When you just suddenly make a character who couldn't be a regular fucking Super Saiyan that trained hard enough on the same level as fucking Super Saiyan Blue, already known to be able to fight at least near the level of Beerus, who knocked out SS3 in one strike, and make them that strong without any good explanation, that's complete and utterly shitty writing.

It's like the writers completely forgot there are forms other than Super Saiyan Blue. What felt majestic and godly in Resurrection of F has became so god damn overused and cheap that I no longer care for it because of how much it's been fucking whored out by Toei. Even the latest episode showed that by having Goku try and hold back from using SSB to "reserve his strength" while he was nearly being thrown out of the ring, yet completely forgot he could conserve his strength by using any of the other 15 fucking transformations he has that don't use up that power.

It makes sense if you think about it. He settled down and started a family. He was still strong in BoG and only weakened after the learning he was going to be a father. I'm pretty sure Piccolo talks shit on Goku in the beginning of DBZ for not training as much since they last met, which was right befor Goku got married and had a kid. The only difference is that Goku has nothing else going for him besides being a martial artist while Gohan was raised to be studious and went to actual school and shit.
