Half ghouls have a greater potential to be chimeras, but due to only having one ghoul parent they're always single-types, unless a recessive RC-type from an older generation resurfaces.

Contrary to common belief Kaneki is less than half a ghoul, according to Nishiki he is mostly human and using a kagune while still a human has an adverse effect on his health. Not to mention all the rapid healing. Although he is mostly human he does have ghoul tissues and those regen just fine. Perhaps an indicator that Touka's unborn may be more than half ghoul.
Nishiki suggests limiting his use of kagune and healing to slow down his aging.
And less preferable, is binge eating RC cells. Though it doesn't say if binge eating will actually save him, or just slow down his degeneration.
