Tumblr has many different styles that often blend into each other. There's the one that makes everyone fat, brown and trans. There's the blobface calarts style. And then there the the plain sort of blunt toon style that takes it's cut more from european animation, I think. It's not offensive like the first two, but it lacks the cute aesthetic of japanese art, and it makes Kurapika look particularly off model. Just take a look at that artist's tumblr, it's full of western toon fanart that she's clearly been influenced by. Not to mention the fact that she lives in the Bay Area.

We definitely haven't seen the last of him, but it's 50/50 on whether he appears in this arc or not. Since Alluka is an Ai then that means Killua will somehow be involved in this arc which gives Gon every reason to end up on the boat, as like 90% of the people he knows and loves are on it. I can imagine him sneaking on board and getting lost for days only to finally figure out where he is after the succession war ends none the wiser as to what's just been happening. There's a ton of powerful Nen users on board so if he plans on learning how to use his Nen all over again then it's the place to be.

The issue with 3 is that it's got heaps of small fights so you can only do it in an episodic fashion, and 4 was longer than 3 and slower paced but done in 39 episodes so they were often cramming 6 chapters worth of shit into 20 minutes which is pretty shit for an already slow paced manga. 5 and 6 should be better hopefully since they're structured more like 1 and 2 but with the length of 3 and 4. And yeah, while 2011 is fun it's still far from great.

There's more flow and actual development in each encounter as opposed to 3 where each fight is a standalone gag fight and most could be read in any order. It's still the same basic template but much further developed. Araki and Togashi are alike in that they're some of the few mangaka who actually try really hard to improve each time they write something rather than just pump out the same thing over and over again because it's easy and pays.

Presumably, the beasts are a dead guys' nen feeding off of their aura, so theoretically there's nothing stopping them from learning it themselves and developing a hatsu besides the beast draining their nen constantly, though they can learn to conserve it better and such.
