Why is Nishiyama only wearing one hearing aid? They had the doctor scene prior to this one which I guess means she's now completely deaf in her other ear. Was that from Ishida yanking out the hearing aid when they were kids? Did it really take that long for her to lose all her hearing from it?

Well yeah, but there was a part where she was at the doctor's with her grandma doing a hearing test and then a scene with her covering/uncovering her right ear and crying in bed.
