A small update.

Whether this means that the confirmation of Vento Aureo was real or not, I have no idea.

However, what they don't know is that Joubin is now acting freely without their notice.

I don't think Jobin is involved with this new enemy tbqh. Dolomite knew they were being watched and still revealed it was Jobin who he was working with. If the enemy was involved with Jobin he probably wouldn't want Dolomite revealing that to Jobin, whereas if he was unaffiliated with Jobin he wouldn't care and Dolomite wouldn't have any reason to worry about revealing Jobin. It might even be in the new enemy's interests for Josuke to know it's Jobin since it could cause them to infight.

There was a person watching Dolomiti's conversation with Gappy and Yasuho, probably the same person that attacked the Plant Appraiser and them when they found out about Gappy's motif.

I'm saying this because what we know is that the new unnamed enemy stand is using the tree to launch out his stand, but that doesn't explain why the tree is rotating.

In that aspect, definitely, but they are a fantastic cast nonetheless. Araki has never handled groups as well as he did in 5 ever since, and he doesn't seem interested in doing so.
While in 3, 4 and 5 he utilised the group dynamic, and in my opinion, mastered it in 5, he seemed more interested to go different paths from there forward. 6 had a strong group, like in the previous 3 parts, but the story was completely focused in Jolyne, in a similar vein to 1 and 2.
It worked, but it was sort of frustrating to see a good cast be pushed to the side so much.
In 7 he decided to explore Johnny and Gyro as a duo, with Diego as a rival and Lucy as an ally, both present as independent forces in the narrative, same could be said for HP and Tim, tho to a lesser extent.
I think he nailed the duo dynamic, Diego's and Lucy's roles, but the others fell short.
Now for JJL, it looks like a mix of SO and SBR, while being centered around Josuke, there is Yasuho as his duo and also a group of sorts.
Every character has connection to Josuke, like Joshu, Karera, Rai and Tsurugi, but they are usually more worried about their own business as opposed to helping Josuke out at all times, never really forming a proper group, but instead individual forces that can come into play at pretty much any moment of the story.
Very interesting stuff, it's shit like this that keeps all parts entertaining and different from each other, while also maintaining a sense of unity.

Haha, is this a joke?

Giorno, the main character, never even talks to anyone in the group unless he has to. No smalltalk, no getting to know them, nothing. And they, for their part, never get to know him. After he saves the day in a fight they have a silent monologue where they gush about how he's a better leader than Buccellati (in spite of being nothing special) and it's really forced.

Abbacchio, Narancia and Mista have a good dynamic, and talk as much as they can when they aren't fighting (which is virtually never.) Fugo's not bad, but contributes little before fucking off and never being seen again. Trish never gets to know them beyond a couple of brief exchanges with Narancia, and never even talks until King Crimson. Buccellati doesn't make smalltalk, but he's a strong and silent presence sort of like Jotaro.

If anything, 5 is where the missed potential of group-dynamics stands out the most.

This got me too about JJL, perhaps it's because there's overall but Damo's gang has a lot of art despite being pretty minor. Even the twins have little bits of art, probably more than a chunk of very minor characters.

I think Araki has found a good balance in part 8. Nobody feels wasted, Aishou and Yotsuyu turning up. repeatedly makes them feel less villain of the month.

Jesus, chill. It's not that "I didn't get it". I'm just not a fan of the big epic fights in Jojo, because I think they very frequently get out of hand and end in an 'not-so-epic' way. It's like it's build up to be an intense fight, but ends in some gimmick. Diavolo's power is interesting and could have been well used, but, instead, we get Giorno becoming unbeatable and punching him once into oblivion. Just like Pucci's fight, were his power could have been beaten by the group using their powers together in some interesting way, but instead Emporio 'suddenly' discovers some power Weather Report had and ends it. It's anticlimatic, that's the problem. Another example is Bohemian Rhapsody, a stand so powerful it could literally kill every single person in the world and while the user's unbothered, and it ends in some random asspull. I mean, why even bother creating a Stand like that and building up tension only to have it beaten in such a way?
In contrast, Valentine's battle is amazing. His power is amazing and almost unbeatable, but instead of some last page asspull, we get the final level of a power that has been described and explored throughout the entire part. It's the perfect example of how Araki should have handled King Crimson and Made in Heaven.

The thirthy year long series with sales up to 100 millions... Cooperation with Gucci... He talks about how his drawings are influenced by renaissance pieces and the birth of the series. "Because working 5 days a week on it has become a habit, I'm the one who draws it even now"

"Ora ora ora!" The 30-year-long series is represented by this shout (N.T.: they use the term for kiai in Korean) and it's energy. 100 million volumes sold. While it reigns as a legend in the fantasy genre, this manga that was only watched illegally in South Korea has been officially released by Anibox since 2013 and has now reached a figure of 250.000 volumes sold. "My 5-days-a-week habit of working on it has made it possible for this series to continue even to this day." We talked with Araki Hirohiko (57) through email. It's his first interview with Korean press.

The series, which presently is in it's eigth part, has been set in the 1890's, up until present times; from England, to Italy, to Japan, to the USA, covering large periods of times and several different places, it tells the story of the descendants of the JoJo family (N.T.: they literally say JoJo family [조조家] and not Joestar) and their unfolding 'bizarre adventures'.

The concept of Stands, guardian spirits each possessing different abilities, has been appraised for it's enormous influence in the manga industry. (N.T.: sorry for the maybe excessive notes, but the Korean language has this incredible ability of inserting crazy amounts of information in a single phrase and I'll ignore some of it unless it's actually important to the meaning of the phrase, otherwise the translation will be even clunkier and weird. So yeah I know this phrase lacks some of what is said but it conveys what's most important of it). "I get inspiration from all sorts of medias, from dramas to books, but if I were to choose one, it'd be horror movies.", says Hirohiko. When you look at the swiftly slashed bodies and the expressions his characters make, it's easy to understand how.

Similarly to how he confesses he likes international rock, such as Led Zeppelin and Jackson Browne, his post-oriental (N.T.: as in beyond oriental) influences show up in several situations. "When I travelled for the first time to Italia, in the 80's, I was greatly influenced by the renaissance sculptures and paintings", he tells us about one of his famous anecdotes. "A great desire to express the beauty of the human being arose in me." After debuting in his twenties, seven years later he'd publish his seventh work, when he'd finally meet his renaissance influences.

His drawings, so similar to a fabulous fashion show, are truly of Italian influence. "The character's personas are displayed through fashion". Because of this kind of fashion sense, he'd come to collaborate with the 90-year-old world famous brand Gucci in an exhibition. Some of his characters fabulous costumes have participated in catallogues from Italian brands such as Versace and Moschino. This mangaka with such interest in western culture tolds us he also knows Kim Seonghwan's 고바우 아저씨.

Everytime a new part comes out, besides the protagonist's being named as "JoJo", everything is new. "I always think about the character's hobbies, background etc. in a very detailled way as I draw". He's constantly changing his drawing style, and while his past characters had a very distinct Hokuto no Ken influence, the more he drew, the more he grew into his peculiar "Araki-style". "Every time I start a new part, I change the style of drawing. I do not believe in an ideal style. Even if I'm satisfied now, I'll always seek new ways of drawing."

When you think of a manga with many battle scenes, it's easy to worry about exaggerate masculinity and violence. In contrast, part six's protagonist is a woman, and the current part's theme is family. "Family is humanity's smallest organizational and behavioral unit. I believe every single social relationship and phenomenon is symbolized by it's smallest unit." In the bizarre adventures that have been unfolding for 30 years, the Jojos are something resembling an "Ode to Humanity". "Not believing in machines or god, but rather solving problems and growing through the human power and mind is what creates this "Ode to Humanity". This is the kind of human being I want to continue to draw." As for his favorite quote, he chose Kishibe Rohan's "Oh, but I refuse" as his most fond one. As for the rumors, he says "for now, an ending is not in question". At the end, continues to refuse. (T.N.: ok so I really couldn't make this understandable in English but basically they made a joke about the fact that his favorite quote was Rohan's and the fact that he rejected the idea that Jojo's ending is something on the horizon. To reject and to refuse can be said through the same word in Korean.)

The first part of the interview doesn't really carry any new information, but it really made me think that, to him, the main theme of part 8 is family. Got me to look at it in a different perspective. Also how Jojo's an 'Ode to Humanity'.
