Saiyans are a race that can transform into a Great Ape when theres full moon, but they can also transform into 3 golden haired super forms when they get really angry, really really angry, or really really really angry. but they can also transform into a god if 5 of them with a pure heart hold hands with each other, but they can also get even stronger than a god when with enough strength training (even so that they can completely skip the holding hands stuff).
what kind of mary sue race is this? random transformations for every single occasion you could think of. there could be some random transformation that only happens when you wear a mexican hat while pole dancing and singing all-star by smashmouth backwards.

Reminder that anything Post_Cell is fucking retarded. There was only one Super Saiyan form before Buu arc created Super Saiyan 2 and Gohan was just in an enraged Super Saiyan state when he beat Cell. Super Saiyan took more than just being angry to achieve as well, it took a monstrous power level to just become a SS, most Saiyans were low class warriors even weaker than Raditz.

Cell and the androids ruined the rest of the show. It added another villian who could only be beaten with the power of a super saiyan leading to the eventual bargain sale. It wasn't special anymore in the slightest. It could have been better if they kept goku incapacitated long enough for piccolo and maybe tien to get a boost relative to him, but they essentially killed off everyone who wasn't a saiyan for the sake of a plot device.

You are an idiot. Freeza caused the bullshit power creep in the first place. Literally not one character on Namek could reach 1/5th of his max power and Goku only won because he was a Super Saiyan. Blame Freeza for turning the show into a power level fest.

Goku was raised as a good hearted saiyan on planet Earth. Through his good heartedness he was able to transcend and unlock the real potential of the saiyan race.

the reason im blaming the androids and cell is that, while frieza did start the power creep, it could have easily changed after namek. Toriyama hadn't planned anything past that, so anything could have happened. They could have easily brought piccolo up to that level without abandoning him like the humans.
