"Become a magical girl" does not imply becoming a lich soul crystal zombie in ANY way shape or form. Same with the whole eventual witch thing. It was far from clearly explained.
>>
>>157907982
No, but he was asking little girls (minors) to consent into something they could not have an idea of the magnitude of the consequences by misleading them to thinking they were doing something they would like.

Something like that gets you in jail IRL.
>>
>>157907882
Mami loves Kyouko.
>>
>>157908047
Well, read the fucking fine print then, you knob. There are some general rules you'd assume banks would follow when it comes to loans, because plenty of people take them and you know mostly what to expect. When it comes to magical girls you have no fucking clue what you're getting into so it makes sense to try and find some kind of a catch. I mean, who offers to just give out wishes for free?

Hell, since QB offers the same deal to all the girls I'd even argue that it's the standard magical girl contract and getting pissed about the details is just stupid. It'd be like getting angry at the bank because they didn't tell you you'd have to pay back more than you got when that's the basic principle of every loan ever.
>>
>>157908209
>read the fucking fine print

WHERE'S THE FUCKING FINE PRINT YOU DUMBASS
>>
>doesn't explain about the soul gem thing
>doesn't explain they turn into witches
>>
>>157908047
You just proved the point that you shouldn't sign shit without knowing what it is.
>>
Clearly explained would be
>Become a Magical girl and get a wish granted!
>How? By extracting your soul out of your body and into a vessel that you must keep at a 100ft ratio of yourself at all times.
>Why? Because if you don't you will die as having a sould removed from your body usually does. This is the only way to give you magic powers though.
>For further care of your soul gem, you must destroy witches and absorb the power on the grief seeds they leave behind on ocassion, or else your soul gem will slowly die out, and that includes you as well!
>Also keep proper care of your soul gem by never falling on absolute despair or you will become a witch, forget your memories and subsequently be destroyed by another magical girl.

>What do you mean by "Go to hell"?
>>
>>157908263
That was in response to the loan allegory, the meguca equvalent would go a bit like
>hey QB how do you fight the witches exactly
>can I die
>do I get superpowers
>am I gonna turn into some kind of angst-driven zombie with my soul locked up in a jewel thingy
>do magical girls become witches so that other magical girls can fight them and keep fueling that angst-driven ponzi scheme forever while you lot get energy out of that
Those are the questions you should logically ask before agreeing to anything.
>>
>>157908412
Yeah, and since all 14 year old girls are wise and careful enough to get all the information and never make decisions based of incomplete information.

That's probably how things went down in the beginning. Then they had a meeting and after six hours of powerpoint presentations on human psychology they figured out it's better to leave some things out.
>>
>>157908483
That's why we don't give loans to them.
>>

>turns out he didn't mentioned (because no one asked, after all) that the deal includes being raped by fat faceless bald men for a whole day once a week
Splendid.
>>
>>157908485
Thus, not explaining clearly and preying on little girls, the target must likely to accept and regret their decision after they understood the consequences, thus becoming witches and serving their purposes.

I don't know how can people not see the evil behind that scheme.

>You won't need to worry about your wish, however. It'll come true. Just remember that changing one small fact won't change anybody's thoughts or feelings.
>And do try to keep a level head about everything that's happening in your life as well, otherwise it's witch time for you
>Oh, you're not interested?

I wont ask whether I will instantaneously combust or get cancer for every contract I sign or every job I apply to. If it's an occupation then it must be within legal boundaries, open for inspection and collection of statistics and must adhere to human rights. If it's an occupational hazard, in this case which kills a large percentage of the contractors the contractee has to clearly disclose it. I don't know legal matters but I have enough common sense to know that what kyuubey is doing is illegal and irrational.

No part of becoming a magical girl suggests that you become a monster if you get too down in the dumps.
It would be up to lyubey to mention that

What did he mean by this?
>>
See, here's the thing about Kyuubey. People often argue about their motivations justness as if they're an equal existence to humans. Fact is, they're not. If we are to believe Kyuubey, they're a sufficiently advanced enough species to the point that humans are equivalent to animals for them. So the question we need to ask isn't "is it morally okay for someone to trick children into a shady deal, provided you don't lie and it is to a net gain/it's a necessity to save the overall life in the universe?" We should be asking "is it okay to make an unfair, but truthful, contract with an animal to ensure the better survival of the human species (and any other lifeforms that are equally advanced)?"

To that end, I wouldn't call Kyuubey the bad guy (though as a human, he is an enemy to human life) but something akin to an antihero; doing something that is perfectly valid and even "righteous" but is still an antagonistic force to our perspective.

"B-but they're children!" is a lame-ass excuse. That shit doesn't fly when dealing with trillion year old space cats. >Would any 14 year old boy or younger asks those questions?
The only reason why Kyubey doesn't usually contract with guys is because they tend not to mood swing as hard as girls (which makes them comparatively bad fuel sources). But I suppose that it in principle could be done if he came across an unusually emotionally unstable boy, or if it was in furtherance of causing a nearby magical girl to witch out who otherwise wouldn't
>>

>Kyubey, knowing this, contracts the brother

>sister witches immediately because her one source of pride was taken away

>>
>>157907882

You know, I was just thinking.

Very, very early on in pre-history, Kyubee probably offered girls a wish and powers without Witches to fight. That means that those girls were basically dead from the start, because there was no way they could ever replenish their Soul Gems.

After THOSE girls became Witches, Kyubee started the usual program instead.
>>
>>157916107
It would sting twice as hard for the sister because it should be impossible for the brother to contract. It's a betrayal both by the brother and also Kyubey, who guaranteed her that she was special. If the sibling was an older sister instead of a brother, one might expect Kyubey to pursue a contract with them, but not in this case. Stone cold betrayal, all done with an :3 expression on his face. Again, I can see such situations being surprisingly common. There's no drama as mundane and family drama, after all.
>>
>>157916303
>That means that those girls were basically dead from the start, because there was no way they could ever replenish their Soul Gems.
We call those "startup costs."
>>
>>157916303
They probably used up some energy to create some fake witches for the girls to fight. you know, like how you have to start up an engine.
>>
>>157908047
Nigga, it was a wish being offered in exchanged for the services. Do you know how much people would give up for a single wish? No matter how seemingly unfair the terms are, a single wish is just too tempting of an offer to outright refuse.
>>
>>157916013
That and a lot of us are screwed over just from being born.
>>
>>157916922
We can change if we really want to, but most people don't want to take the risks and the path necessary so they opt for what everyone else does. In a world where people are increasingly obsessed with safety and precautions, most people don't want to do what would be necessary to escape.
>>
>>157916303
Those girls are dead from the start but they still get a single wish. They are people that are willing to sacrifice their lives to have their wish granted. Witch or no witch, they would have accepted the offer since they have something more important to them than their own lives.

>>157912691
Except the narrative is from a human angle, and you're asking [presumably] humans to evaluate those same circumstances. He may be a savior to his race and the universe at large, but in some form he is still a villain from the perspective of the humans affected, notably because his deceit via omission is entirely unnecessary to accomplish his greater aims.

Imagine a scenario in which a cop is trying to stop a terrorist from blowing up some people, but to stop him he has to shoot through a child, who dies from the wound. Objectively the cop is a hero for the greater good performed through his actions, but he still killed the kid and may be considered a villain or at least of dubious merit by the kid's family.

Qubei in this analogy would be a cop who shoots through and kills the kid despite NOT NEEDING TO and in fact going out of his way to; he's still a "hero" for the greater good done but also definitely a villain for literally murdering the kid.
>>
>>157920180

>>157920306
The rape aspect of the article title, not the trespassing part. If I were to open a neighbor's window and climb in, a child being present in that room would not make me an attempted rapist; I would still only be a trespasser. Same deal with the comic, there was no action to suggest any aspect of the crime was of a sexual nature aside from Madoka being female. The article title suggests that rape was attempted despite nothing in the comic or lines in the article suggesting that Phoenix actually had tried or that he was charged with it.

Consider if you were pulled over for speeding on a slow news day and you were featured on the news as "Anon, speeder, child molester, and terrorist?" Written/published misinformation that is harmful to your reputation, i.e. libel.

>>157920348
Cops can all choke to death on ten billion cocks each and make the world a better place through their suffering and subsequent death, yes, but it was a quick example. Replace "cop" with "armed bystander" instead if it makes you feel better.
