They explain what's going on in details. The anime is extremely weak mainly because 4 episode worth of story were stretched into a 12 episode series. That's why nothing makes sense and nothing really happens for like 7 episodes.

Redditors like OP consume anime at a pretty fast rate. They usually watch it at 1.5 speed and then move on to the next one. If I don't understand it but enjoyed it I'll rewatch it again and pick up on stuff I missed the first time. But nu-/a/ doesn't watch for enjoyment. Rather they are just grinding like in an MMO.
