oh boy oh boy. ok dont expect much, as a berserk fan, you'd watch 2016/2017 anyway just for the sake that its berserk, you'll take quite a bit of comedic value for the quality, but you'll be demoralised and sad afterwards becuase you know berserk deserved better, maybe they do it on purpose to make you feel how guts does?
and the manga release seems to be put on when the new berserk anime is airing now.

What this anon said. Watch the third movie of Berserk if you want a better closure for the golden age arc (I personally really loved third movie). Judt put on the 1997 soound track and read the manga.

Well you could always watch the movies. First one has janky CGI, but nowhere near as bad as the anime. It gets better with the movies and like I said, third movie is great.

I actually liked the movies but I refuse to watch the new series

the manga will be on hiatus again next month

2016 is pretty shit, 2017 isn't perfect but it's at least watchable. You could the bds of 2016.

i dont remember much from the 2016, but watching 2017 the pacing is so bad, the scenes drag on way too long with dialouge which puts me off so much.however its an improvement to 2016 for sure, but its barely watchable.
