The point Akira made was that even if Kaneki had the same feelings and memories as Haise, Haise is still a subset of the superset that is Kaneki and should be referred to as such.

The problem with regards to Kaneki's relationship with Touka wasn't that he didn't like Touka, but rather he thought Touka didn't like him. Hence how fucking thick he was behaving with regards to their virginity conversation.

It wasn't until Touka bluntly stated that she liked it when Haise oogled her that Kaneki finally understood his romantic interest was reciprocated. This was kind of underscored by the three panels devoted to Kaneki's shocked reaction when Touka said that.
