Action cards allowed both defend and attack boosting at the most convenient time possible even if they were supposed to be random. Skills looks commonplace instead of Yuya spamming action cards with his opponents rarely using them. Not to mention the whole action trap fiasco.

If NAS and Konami are apparently having so much trouble keeping the anime production from falling apart, how come they won't adapt to their new conditions and take a break every other season?

If they think Yugioh really needs to have presence year round, they could compromise and do a series of web shorts with a lot of fanservice fluff in the off seasons, since there's almost two decades of material to this franchise. If merch sales are a concern, IBO took a break between its seasons and didn't have any trouble getting those gunpla moving off the shelves iirc.

Duel links has become more profitable than the physical game now, so either accept that this is your new reality now or get the fuck out of the game. How many gems for one-night with Blue Angel?

I thought the the first two episodes were pretty good. Not amazing but really entertaining. The first duel was a little bit underwhelming but from the looks of it, they will get better with time. About characters:
