No, fuck that. One side is biologically immortal, can mind control the other, and requires the other for sustenance. There is literally no reason for any human to accept any form of cooperation with a being that has that quality unless they want to live in servitude.

All it takes is one shiki to want more than the terms of cooperation to completely fuck over humans. And as we all know, people are never greedy, right? The only way out of this is putting Sunako under strict supervision and forbidding her from making more shiki because the more shiki there are the harder it would be to ensure they maintain their side of the agreement. Except that's exactly what she fucking wanted to do. Either way it's impossible for the two sides to live equally with one another when the shiki have so much power over the humans. The only reasons the humans won was because of numerical superiority and catching the shiki off guard which could've easily gone the other way if the shiki were able to expand.

I don't judge people on their context of their ability but rather the content of their character. There were people who were turned to shiki that retained their morals. What you describe is pretty much man as well and yet we haven't killed ourselves yet especially when we have the means to do so.
