All the gods of destruction started out as regular mortals but became so strong they were appointed as gods and given god ki with some method we still don't know
Hit, Jiren and Toppo are basically like all the GoDs pre-getting god ki. They are all regular mortals who got super strong on their own.
And then there's fucking Goku, who instead of getting on that level on his own he holds hands and manages to get a bit of god ki. Still not on the level of a god of destruction's god ki though as evidenced by the fact he still can't compete with Beerus. However this bit of god ki manages to put Goku on the level of the super strong mortals like Hit, Toppo and Jiren

I was discussing something with a friend today and i want opinions /a/.

Did Cell have the potential to be the strongest being in the universe ever?

Frieza without having trained once in his life was at his 100% as strong as SSJ, then in just 4 months of training managed to to reach SSB levels of power.

Goku and Vegeta are naturally gifted fighters with a thirst for power and fighting.

Cell in his perfect form was strong as fuck with zero training and even had high speed regeneration, had the cells of both Frieza and the Saiyans. He also has the ability to absorb other fighters and grow stronger and let's not forget that he was able to massively boost his power using Zenkai(?) ability to reach SSJ2 levels after exploding and killing Goku.

If in the 10 days before the Cell games, he had trained instead of fucking around he would have reached ssj2 or even higher easily.

But is all that really true? does him have some of Friezas and Gokus/Vegetas genetic code in him give him all of their fighting potential and talent?

Would he be able to reach god levels in just months like Frieza?

My friend thought that just having some of Frieza/Goku/Vegeta cells in him doesn't mean he has all of their potential and talent.

What do you guys think?
