https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_manga
What are your thoughts on this list? Which manga would you want to be there and which you think are undeserving of its high place?
For me, Pokemon Adventures being that high was a shock when I saw the list. I've never seen it in any yearly best selling manga rankings and I keep track of it for a long time. How is this manga so high is a mystery. It's relatively obscure battle shounen (especially when we take into consideration it's a fucking Pokemon series). Maybe the list isn't credible? I see Kingdom with 30 million sold volumes but it's so popular lately and there are tons of volumes released.

Christ, no matter how many times I see it, it never fails to amaze me how explosively popular One Piece is.
>toriko
>20 million
HOLY SHIT
SHIT IS SO IRRELEVANT I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT IS FINISHED

Shima will return with Space arc some day. You'll see.

Pokemon Adventures has been going on from R/B/Y days and consistently changes its protagonists up. With the Pokemon franchise itself never losing steam to any specific considerable degree, it only makes sense the manga would be popular

But I've never seen it in any Oricon ranking like Naruto, HxH or OP and by numbers, it's this level of units by volume. It's strange.
>Rokudenashi Blues
>60 million
>still no fully translated
Explain this.
Another strange thing is that I remember Black Jack sold 100 mil volumes but now it has 45.

I thought Berserk and Evangelion would be higher
That list is misleading. Some manga have its sales worldwide, and others only in Japan.
And some have the data until a certain quantity of volumes, not all the ones published to date.
The list doesn't specify these things

Probably cause there are no "muh friendship powerup" moments. Only time there was something remotely similar to that was Lucci vs Luffyand Luffy expended all his energy,
no powerup or anything
Minami no TeiĆ looks cool as shit

The art looks nice
There are a lot of series in there that I've never heard of despite their apparent popularity
Makes me feel like a pleb
I should read more manga

you never see dragonball, kochikame, detective conan, golgo, slam dunk, or hardly any of the other absolute best-selling of all time manga in modern top lists, either. Nothing strange about it.

>detective conan
Actually, I do. It's not in top 10 but close. Others (except Kochikame and Golgo but their success is because of fuckton of volumes) were finished years ago whereas Pokemon Special is ongoing.
