First impressions are really important in anime, even for a toyetic series trying to sell merch rather than discs.

It doesn't say many good things about how production is going and the luck it's having if they couldn't manage to pull something better out of their ass (and I'm mostly sure they were trying as hard as they could to make it happen) for the VERY FIRST EPISODE. Vanguard is also another card game show that looks cheap and barely there most of the time, but even its first episodes don't look as stilted.

Not so animated animation can be made up for somewhat through storyboard choices and legitimately creative use of colors, but that's even more unrealistic to expect.

Why didn't they hire someone known for more electronic stuff for the OST? What there is so far isn't bad and a couple tracks stood out, but a soundtrack in the vein of 5D's would've been like the perfect fit.
