I don't understand how something so trite and emotionally manipulating as anohana is given so much praise but an actual good anime with emotional drama like Clannad is considered shit. Just watch it all the way through to afterstory and see if you hold the same opinion.

I love emotional shit like Haibane Renmei but Clannad just pisses me off thb. I just could not give less of a fuck about Nagisa, her whole reason to exist is to just be a victim who dies so everyone can cry about her.

AS did a good job of showing what grief is like for the MC, but I can't help but be annoyed how not only is the mother a helpless victim blob, but SUDDENLY the daughter is too and boohoo. Emotionally manipulative and unearned pathos is a nice way of putting it, this is what I hate about Key shit.
