I never browse this board, and rarely watch anime, but dunno if where else I'd post this.
Anyway.
>What if you made Silmarillion/book of lost tales in to anime style short movies
Why hasn't any "anime animators", for fun, just made a scene or something out of Tolkien's real stories?
Like when I read parts about the 'Battle of Gondolin' or any other fight, it's like someone described a battle or fight from some crazy anime.
Feel like it would be a epic mix.

Don't ever look back on your way out
>reading Tolkien
I want shit hard on toilet lol

Because Western fantasy is shitty and boring.
Isekai shows have fresh, original settings and better characters than some stuffy old limey and his leech of a son could ever write.
Ironic shitposting is still shitposting.

It would be GAR.

That's a quite silly statement from someone that regularly browse /a/.

This. Isekai has all the high quality rape we need. Watching modern girls get dropped into a world where Orcs are horny is the best.
Simple answer: Anime is not JUST epic fight scenes ORAAAAAA...
You also need your daily dose of Loli-Moe-Blobs (*Dials 911*)

Why haven't any "western cartoon animators"?
Because animation is work.

>cause that's what my post implies
My point was that live action would never be able to depict any battle from Silmarillion, and western animation is pretty shit.
The animation style of anime fits it perfectly.

It isn't far fetched to assumed there's anime makers that are fans of Tolkien.
The heroes in Silmarillion could be put into "any" fantasy anime and fit in pretty nicely.
