they have nice knick knacks but it stops at a visual level because its too far from reality. Ghibli does that millions of whriling gears and steam hatches everywhere kind of thing. Now if you consider the prosthetics from FMA they are simple things but it actually looks like a real machine.

Fun fact Akira Toriyama had a hard time drawing the tank and almost had somebody else draw the tank, but some how he managed to draw it himself.
This is fucking weird if you considered the times Toriyama had drawn mechs and others vehicles through his career.
