What the hell is SHAFT gonna do when they get through adapting

They will keep adapting Monogatari, duh.

They were already given one of the most popular light novel series and fucked it up. I don't think Aniplex will ever trust them again.

It's a Light Novel adaptation, not a low-budget manga adaptation of a long runner like One Piece or Gintama. It felt more appropriate to make that a comparison. Yes, I know LoGH isn't a Light Novel.

Yes. There's no doubt that Bake was, and though the later seasons have some greedy decisions, it's pretty safe to blame them on Aniplex and assume Shaft is trying their best despite publisher interference. If nothing else, the voice actors are definitely putting their all into every single episode.
