how have you managed your chinese cartoon habits over the years /a/? Did you start building raids when it finally got so out of hand that just single disk drives weren't enough? I'm getting ready to take the raid path because my chinese cartoon habit has grown so out of control.
I used to burn them on CDs but quickly stopped, there is no point in keeping anything.

>not just streaming
>>156327535
I only keep a few things saved locally for watching in my free time
>>156328678
>streaming
just get like a 4tb drive, if you really need storage.
>>156327535
I delete everything after I've seen it. I basically never rewatch stuff and if I do feel like rewatching something it won't take me more than 15-20 minutes to redownload it.
>>156327535
I don't keep my shit.
I either stream it, or download the episodes for a season then delete all of them at the end so I can be ready for next season. Whichever is easier.

>implying the argument against streaming from years ago are still valid
Things have changed
I delete the anime that sucks
saves alot of hard drive space
>>156328759
>4tb
>Enough space for exactly 1 season encoded by coalgirls
Not big enough anon.
I only keep shows I rewatch, and only the DVD/BD rips if possible.
>>156328840
Is their encoding seriously that trash? I mean most direct blu ray rips are like 30gb max, plus about 2mb per file for subs, Jesus how do they encode that bad?
>>156328953
Not really, I was playfully exaggerating. They are a few gigs bigger for their encodes than most but they aren't even close to that big.
I just dump it into my chinese cartoon drive with no backup whatsoever, anyone using the amazon cloud to keep their chinese cartoon? Though I'm only at max 3 TB right now, not counting this and last season.
I delete everything after I watch it since I never rewatch anything.
>>156327535
I delete episodes when I finish them unless they're so good I'd want to rewatch them.
Been on the same 500Gb drive for years and it's more than enough.
>backing up cartoons
You just have them saved and if that hard drive dies then it dies, who cares. Just redownload it. If you need more than 2TB you are fucking retarded. There is hardly enough good stuff that is worth saving to fill that amount. I reall don't see why someone would keep all seasonal anime saved, or other shit they'll never watch again. The amount of BD rips for old anime is fairly small for example.

Please give me a ling to a streaming webste where I can watch a 15GB+ BD rip of for example Ghibli movies. Because if you can't even hand me one for the most popular anime movies then you sure as he'll can't for more niche ones.
