That's a pretty clever way to approach it really in order to incorporate the other stuff. Ceruleans on different islands can be more evolved and so on. Some Friends may have never met humans on some islands and some may know of them depending on where humans went and so on.

The only thing that really feels off about it is in the show itself it very much feels like that island is THE japari park island rather than one of many.
