Sure, they could go the guy is living with some girls who happen to be weapons of mass destruction route and do nothing at all with that setting, but I kinda doubt it. It's probably going to have some plot about the government/military wanting to use or get rid of these weapons, and therefore putting MC into trouble since he wants to protect the girls.
