My point is fanboys are trying to validate their opinion on the show through sale numbers, like saying my show is superior because it sells more.
And that's just silly, you can't always co-relate the quality of the show with the amount of enjoyment you get from it, it get's even sillier if you take into consideration that seller is the same company. Kadokawa is getting all the shekells in the end not the studios people are shilling in favor of (they get a part of it if they're in the production commitee though).

People are ignoring lot's of facts too, printing DVDs / Blurays is easier than printing books + blurays, and we know kadokawa didn't expect the demand they're getting now.

Even if they want to satisfy said demand it can not be done in such short amount of time which has lead to the current shortage. Given the popularity of the show you can even see it got resellers, the demand is there and I have no doubt it will rise above Konosuba.
Both are fun shows on their own way, Kemono Friends is an isolated case, a miracle you could even say, nobody expeted the show to explode in popularity this hard.

Judging just from the animation side, you could say that and I'd agree to an extend, but the show it's more than just bad animated shots and clipped 3d models. It had a very good shots here and there, but because the animation was bad that people focused on the story and the VA's instead, they also filled the void with their own imagination, and that's where memes and pixiv/twitter art take its part in the whole free marketing campaign.

I mean you're not comisioning hundreds of artist to shill for you, they're doing it for free and their followers take interest in the show too, it snowballed.

The show has a thing for everyone (well not everyone but you get the point), nostalgia from a time where everything was more simple, it's got a simple story, a clear goal that it's reached within the show, the adventure feel to it, and comedic timing, good designs too.
The story it's not explained to the viewer like in most anime, that trope of explaining all the background like some sort of tabletop RPG game is getting boring, instead you can infer and try to connect the dots by yourself, and the development of the characters feel natural. I should also mention the picking of the VA's is spot on and based on their personality instead of talent of prominence in the industry, this could also have been due to budget reasons but lead to discover new talents.

you don't know how animation works. Animators get paid per frame, not per man hour. If a production uses 100 animators or 4 the general price for animating the series will be pretty much the same. the only difference will be how long it takes to make.

Animation is piss poor, but the story and worldbuilding is actually god tier and has no business being as good as it was considering it was a cartoon for young children.
