Super is better than GT:

Because it has a much more original and unexpected flair to it. After the "so weird and wacky!! XD" first handful of episodes that GT had (Pan, Trunks and Goku) that TRIED to be weird and crazy, it went straight into DBZ 2.0 with over the top, awfully designed forms and enemies.
Super has a kind of weirdness thats entirely Toriyama's mind, and isnt just for the sake of it. The Gods look weird. Zeno looks weird. Hell, even Jaco. But they're not there for comedy, it's Toriyama's originality and strange ideas coming through and actually shaping the story. GTs villains were like the movie villains. Musclebound, predictable, and edgy.

Also, because it doesn't keep up the constant desire for "transformations" and "forms" that people seem to expect of DB now. The newest "form", SSJ Blue, is just Super Saiyan with godly, cosmic energy. It's easy to draw, its simple, and it doesnt distract from shit. I guess the last form was Super Saiyan Rage, that halfway point between SSJ and Blue, but it's fun to imagine that thats the form Vegeta and Goku had before they learnt Super Saiyan Blue.

And finally, it isn’t as depressing. This is more of a personal issue, but nobody wants to see great characters like Krillin and Tien and Piccolo either really really old, or completely useless. Krillin and Piccolo are arguably part of the 6 main DB characters, and in GT they did fuck all. They're not exactly major in Super either but at least they're there for what their worth.

It's all about what you like about Dragon Ball. Either you love the wacky world of Toriyama and his imagination, or you enjoy power levels, Bruce Faulconer, and new forms.

Hey, so I just finished reading the Cell saga chapters of the manga and I really enjoyed it, but man Goku's sacrifice got me fucking emotional.

Why do I feel like Gohan is going to be the most boring person to watch in Tournament of Power?

All members have something interesting going on with them, except for Gohan.

Goku - god ki, kaioken, instant transmission
Vegeta - god ki, final flash
Majin Buu - regeneration, magic, body manipulation
Androids - infinite stamina

just a showerthought I had yesterday. Do you think, a fully charged Genkidama from the earth + sun, would somehow frighten Beerus? (Fired by Goku of course).
We know that the Genkidama is just as strong as the energy it has consumed. But what about the person who is charging it? Does the "powerlevel", or strength / determination affect the power of the Genkidama as well? If a SSB Goku would charge this spirit bomb like there is no tomorrow, taking energy from very strong creatures / lifeforms (maybe even universe-wide) - do you think Beerus would mind?
(It is another thing that Beerus most likely wouldn't let him charge up that amount of energy + I know, he would/could easily dodge that with his speed)
The reason behind this: Future-Trunks had a similar technique like the spirit bomb. Collecting energy from people, environment, hopes + dreams... and he was able to "oneshot" a weakend Zamasu. If we trust his words, he was stronger than the other GoD, since he mentioned he killed them all.

When he used it on Kid Buu, they seemed to be each pushing it towards the other, so IDK how that works... maybe Goku was stronger and that's why he was able to push it into Buu?

In U6 arc, Goku's Kaioken blue scared beerus and they said that Goku could beat him with it, so by this point Goku could probably overtake beerus anyways.

But since toriyama just has to make every enemy into a protagonist or edge-lord protagonist they will most likely be casual friends and never fight again as enemies.

I have no problem with subs and I watch subbed versions of scenes I've already seen dubbed sometimes just out of interest.

But, the first time I ever saw DBZ (I had no idea what it was at all, only heard of it) was the nicktoons version of dbz kai, and let me just say, it was great.

That's probably my favorite version. I know it's nicktoons but that doesn't mean it's any worse, it seemed so revised to me and had almost no filler only one bad arc which was the androids up until cell became perfect then it was good again.

I got used to it like that, and the voices were unique to the characters and identifiable. The music was good too, there weren't many tracks though.

He would just have to kill each GoD's respective Supreme Kai to get rid of them.
That's how it works for Beerus at least and given how uniform the gods are set up between universes I can assume the other universes GoDs and Supreme Kais have a similar relationship.
Unless it's set up differently in the manga, Zamasu/Black would only have to kill 12 Supreme Kais, a task easier than killing 12 GoDs or he would just have to kill Shin if he only meant U7

Legendary Super Saiyan 2/3/4 are a combination of LSSJ and the regular versions of those forms, with the assumption being that anyone who can assume a form "higher" on the branch has access to the previous ones down the line, since Broly seems to have regular to a non-legendary Super Saiyan form.

It was more appropriate for the old kung fu aesthetic the show had in Dragon Ball. Watch some old martial arts flicks, particularly the hokey ones, and you'll see. Now this isn't really appropriate for DBZ, which pulled away from the series' roots. Which is fine, but yeah, Japan should've updated the soundtrack significantly.

That said I don't think it's that bad; it's just repetitive as hell, and the new tracks introduced by one of the composers were mostly plagiarized whole-sale, so they couldn't get much use.

That doesn't make it an awful soundtrack, just mediocre (whereas it fit perfectly for DB). Faulconer's, comparatively, should fit if it weren't for the terrible compositions and awful use of the tracks throughout the series. They loop for days and they're so on the nose thematically that it's hard to even get invested in the show without drawing your attention to how terrible the score is.

But for many, I guess it was baby's first synth/butt-rock

The Japanese soundtrack worked in DB.
I watched it in English and the music was fitting.

But it just doesn't work in DBZ, when the mystical adventure aspect is gone and it's all about sci-fi and action.

Faulconer music does tend to drone on for too long, but at least it has memorable themes for every major character. It makes various Super Saiyan transformations memorable and epic, something which cannot be said for the Jap score (which is repetitive, bland and boring).
