Has CGI anime finally reached the point where it is indistinguishable from hand drawn anime?
Not yet but it definitely has improved a lot over the past few years.

No. It looks almost there in a still picture like yours, but in movement it usually looks very off (shading is unnaturaly consistent, line thick often betrays the cel-shading effect, movements tend to be "robotic", etc.)

CG Anime will always be distinguishable from the real deal. Anime uses many tricks like smears and transformations's to create movement, the shading also isn't natural making it near impossible to imitate with a computer.

No but somehow we were tricked into tolerating it. I blame fucking Polygon for adapting good material and using passable 3DCG.
no the only cgi that doesn't trigger me is cgi for inorganic stuff like mecha (even then only studio orange does a great job at it) or really stylized stuff like chibi cat girl fighting or harlock movie

You can do smears with CGI, lots of games do it

You can clearly see CGI parts in picrelated. Although it's tolerable.

Animation still looks bad

Yes, but in Anime smears are normally used in combination with a transformation(character goes off model for a short time).

Look at Berserk and say that again
