I saw her posted in another thread and it is really relevant here.

She ruined the great relationship of the characters in the manga, her episodes were the worst in Season 1, and her being in a gigantic chunk of S2 completely ruined the series. She was so bad sales actually decreased from Season 1 to season 2 and killed whatever anime future it has.

Though, to be fair, her increased focus in the manga would have made season 3 complete shit.

The anime was bland, stupid, crappy, self insert, wish fulfillment. This character basically spices up the story by being a point of conflict and development. If she wasn't there, the shit wouldn't last longer than a volume, maybe two tops. Look at the stupid original hentai it was based off of.

The reason why she was the focus of the manga now is because the stupid "relationship" with the main cast was dumb and boring.
