This will probably sound crazy, but does anyone else think Naoko Yamada is similar to Tomino? The way characters interact with each other in K-On, Tamako Market, etc. is strangely similar to how Tomino characters interact. It's that natural-and-organic-but-also-autistic feeling that no other anime really has.

I fucking would if Tomino isn't invovled. The only other writer to even get close to the stuff he was doing with Newtypes was Fukui, and 0079 requires you to get the newtype touches down or char-lalah-amuro (and sayla sorta) don't work.
