>>155223406
Hamburg and hamburgers aren't the same thing
>salisbury steak
>incompetent eleven localized it as hamburger
>>155223406
>character says "juice"
>subtitles say "soda"
Every fucking time.
>>155223784
In Japanese every little phonetic thing counts so I agree with you. There's a big difference between hanburugu and hanburuga.
>>155223406
Eat your salisbury steak, Apollo.

>While "juice" properly refers to fruit juices, in Japan its definition also historically included sweet soft drinks such as cola (without regard to fruit content) and this usage continues as slang.
so many of the things you EOPs think are bad translations from Japanese to English are actually bad translations from English to Japanese

He could live in one of those poor countries that can't get salisbury steak. He may never know what it's like to eat one.
>>155228338
Maybe they'll try to boost their self-esteem by pretending that their hamburgers are really salisbury steaks, kind of like how India pretends they have McDonald's and China pretends they have air.
>>155223406
>character says itadakimasu
>horrible subs translate it as Through the Dark Lord, Amen.
>>155228396
>China pretends they have air.
>>155228453
All of those subs hurt me and I would always forget to download different ones until I got such delights as "hella open a can of whoop" or some shit. Literally why.
But Salisbury steak is basically a hamburger patty specifically to be prepared like a steak covered with gravy. So it's completely accurate.

That's terrible. This is one of the main reasons I'm learning Japanese. Some day I will shed this cocoon of subtitles and watch nothing but raws.
>subs completely miss a gender joke by just putting 'I'

Shouldn't they just shut down, if they aren't doing anything for the community?

>>155228996
Is ripping Crunchyroll not doing something for the community?
>>155228935
Speaking of crunchyroll did they revert back to their old bitrate?
>>155229083
Kinda, they're still incompetent though so now the files can be bigger than last time with no increase in quality!
>character says words in english occasionally
>subs translate the english words into japanese
>>155228935
