Reminder that in the end, Yuya never fucking developed as a character. He never earned anything for himself. He never changed from episode 1 (if anything he regressed). Everything was either handed to him or it was Zarc the whole time.

At the very least when 5Ds stopped developing Yusei and turned him into a Kizuna machine, it was after 64 episodes of him having story development so while it still sucked, it was only because they had already made an attempt. They didn't even try here

Dumbest thing this episode, Leo reviving Yuzu and the girls but half assing it and putting the other 3 in Yuzu off screen. The final versus Jack was really anti-climatic.
Jack had nothing to back him up except hoping to pick up enough action cards. Even had he gotten another turn, he wouldnt have been able to get rid of Clear Wing / Starve Venom without dying.

It was just very subtle because he largely kept his same character traits from the start of Zexal like being retarded, hyperactive and annoying which gave the impression he never really changed but he did. Bad duel writing aside, Shark may have wanted to nuke the enemy before they killed his country, but Zarc wanted to nuke everything because people told him Michael Bay explosions were cool. And he blames it all on peer pressure.

Yuya trying to justify Zarc like that, without any sort of apology for Zarc's actions, was a fucking disgrace. No sane human being should be defending Zarc's actions. And by doing so he's basically damned what little worth he has as a protagonist, honestly.

Keep in mind here, Kaz drew card games as a metaphor for war to depict the negativity of those obsessed with war and revenge. Here, Zarc started a fucking nuclear apocalypse because some dumb spectators thought card games as gladiator matches would be cool, and fucking Yuya of all people paints Zarc as being without sin.

It's like a direct rejection of everything YGO stands for. This show is an absolute abomination and it is not a YGO show. Just an imposter bearing the YGO logo.
