I have re-watched this show like six or seven times now. It's become something of a guilty pleasure. Like, it's fucking stupid but I love it.

I remember being really contrarian and arguing that School Days was an edgy and ingenious subversion of harem anime. God, I was a retarded child.

The show is mediocre despite being entertaining, but the VN is actually a lot of fun if you like melodrama. It's not particularly 'clever' VN, but it's unique in its structure and feels more like an interactive drama. It's very open-ended with no real common route; the closest comparison would probably be Clannad, but it's obviously nowhere near as good.

Pic related nearly won my waifu bowl back then, when I hadn't settled on one.

Probably still one of my favorites. Really fun watch.
