This was a really nice moment. It may not be the most complex plotline, but I found myself really invested in the story of the two Kasumi sisters, and there isn't really a better ending to it. Yozora and Mahiru probably also have two of my favourite songs in the series so far. I'm cautiously optimistic for where this leads in the future and you guys can't stop me.

One final bit of blogposting, I've really enjoyed catching up with stars. I remember when I started to fall behind it was because I wasn't sure if I was feeling it, but I can say with some confidence now, for me at least, Stars is capturing some of the magic from the original series. Coming home after shit days knowing that I had some episodes waiting for me made everything a little better. And when those episodes where everything fell into place came about, it was great. Even if I don't think I'll like the next step, I'm still looking forward to the step after that and the one after that. I just hope there are more strides than stumbles. Or something, I'm not too good with words.

I'm glad you're liking it and are caught up in time. I think everybody just wants to have fun in whatever way they can. The Kasumi sisters plot was a great example of how to make use of original songs to tell a story. Mirai Transit, Summer Tears Diary, and TSU-BO-MI were all leading up to this moment throughout the series. I felt like the most tragic part of last episode was how Mahiru knew right away that Yozora would be leaving and couldn't even say anything after she won. Also hanging the drawing she did with Yozora in her room and showing it every so often kept her goal in sight the entire time. It's just too bad Yozora will be missing Koharu on the way over.

The scene after Mahiru wins might be my favorite scene in the whole show. It was such a perfect ending to Mahiru and Yozora's story line and shows how much Mahiru grew since her initial angsty introduction. I was expecting it to be a regular "pls dont go" scene, but Mahiru defending Yozora's decision despite the fact that Yozora leaving Mahiru to be an idol was the initial cause of Mahiru's angst was heartwarming. My favorite story line in the show.

I don't think it's the 1st time something happened in Stars or another show which made most of the watchers on /ai/ sad about it, I’m pretty sure it 's either someone who really hates Lilienne for some reason, or somehow it had an opportunist idiots with tons of free time charm attraction effect, which past occurrences didn't have. Even the past OP had a dumb “now that the dust has settled” net meme, and didn’t include “idle”, showing it’s probably one of those dumb kids with too much free time who made this thread. Just something I noticed, this moment right here has never happened before. When Laura is about to run into the transformation box, there's this small sound effect of her clothes rustling. Aikatsu Stars is relatively like that, too, which is why Lilyfags were throwing tantrums these past couple of days. Lola beat Lily by the skin of her neck. One or the other winning by a hair is actually fair to their characters, but Yume, however, has "main character privilege" more than talent and skill. I want her to lose.

I knew from reading these threads that the early performances didn't look all that good, but it was worse than I expected.

The Great Fairies in BOTW reminds me of the coords in PP. Same bad taste gaudy clothes that little girls seems to like, as both PP and Aikatsu keep putting them out.
Great Fairies "clothes" were like that too in OOT but PP and Aikatsu didn't exist yet back then so it only linked in my mind now.

For S4 and all of Aikatsu, you have to skip nothing because it's all good.

So here are my thought before the new Aikatsu episode and after it. I have been thinking a lot about who should win plot-wise.
The first and most obvious candidate would be Lily. This being her last chance is the biggest point for her. She even had the dream to make her own brand in S4, though they underplayed this by giving her a brand without being in S4. And then in this episode they even pretended she already fulfilled her dream, even though it was having a brand in S4, and that being with Yuzu in S4 is her new dream. And Yuzu was another point for Lily. If all 3 of them were to be win at any part this would have been the time for Lily to win. But her relatively low score pretty much sealed the deal. Lily got completely fucked over.
The perfect situation would have been Lily -> Laura and then Yume even just by name only. It makes sense for Yume to be the last winner as the main character. Letting her experience the frustration and to be on her own for a while if not all the way would have been very healthy for her character and made her a lot more interesting. At the very least she could have won next year and get to be an S4 and even have Koharu with her.
Sadly it was Laura that was being pushed into the solo act during this whole past year. It would be nice to see her grow a lot as a character alone and end up beating Yume on the finale, but that is highly unlikely so it would be nice to give her an S4 spot before Yume or it is going to be never. But with how Yume was decided to sing before Hime and that it seemed more and more like there is going to be another episode for the final day, Laura's dream fell.
Yume is going to be on the next Song Class S4 and I hate it with passion.

When watching Akarigen, it is imperative to skip all scenes with Juri.

Also while getting angry I was thinking about how much I actually hate how quickly a click is formed with the main girl, her closest friends and her senpai. They are very close from the start and end up being the ruling class of the school. So I started wanting to have someone that refuses to be part of their bullshit-friendship group, yet wrecks their shit. I don't follow the threads so I was surprised to find about the new season and new characters. I am getting bad flashbacks from them being a new rival school, but at least they seem to be focusing on only two of them, which is also enough to break the top ranks.
It is funny how they never mentioned what happens if a non-S4 3rd win. How comes there aren't a few on the top of the rankings every time? It must feel awful to get the S4 spot when you are 6th or something just because everyone above you was a 3rd year. Did they even took part in it? And I just came to the realization that Ichigo was blonde, Yume is blonde and even Hime is blonde. The Aryan dream is definitely steal alive, in Japan, that is.
