90% of anime that featured men in a moe oriented show are completely bland and has no other purpose than to be a self-insert character. /a/ has since then decreed that men are a red flag that a show is going to be catered as yet another one of those dumb shows.
Kyoani in particular has never made any male character that can be deemed as someone worthy of attention. Not a single one except for the Clannad and FMP guy
