Sure if you like a butchered adaptation. The series itself is amazing but Whitefox fucked up too many things and focused in all the wrong areas.

They tied to focus on the battle rather than the psychological thriller it was meant to be. Even giving the White Whale an extra episode when that could have been used to show Re:Zero's political schemes and Subaru's plan making and inner monolouges. They tried to make it cookie-cutter and generic as they come and it pissed me the fuck off after reading the LN/WN and Manga.

There's something about a visual medium with sounds that can make a lot of the big scenes more impactful, and I appreciate that. Why doesn't Subaru have any weapons? There are like a million different situations that he needed a dagger or a sword and yet continues to bring absolutely nothing with him in terms of self defense. Why?

Well, he agreed to teach her magic. That's something. Of course, this scenario all came after him telling them that they were both free to leave anytime they wanted, so he had to arrange reasons they both would have to stay.

He has a sword, whip, yin curse/dark crystal/debuff magic, Beatrice, Sloth's authority and a suicide mechanism if he ever gets imprisoned by something or wants to reset.

He has also been knighted in arc 4 with a personal war party and lead an army in arc 5.

She's pretty strong, just not super top tier. As far as powerlevels are concerned she's probably pretty middle of the road, but also fairly versatile, having offensive and healing magic and also pretty good melee and ranged attack. She's probably the most well rounded combatant we've seen.

Now, there is something that strikes me as odd. Why are all of Roswaal's other servants so fucking loyal when he's being blatantly evil. I thought Clind liked lolis, but he's surprisingly calm about everything.

What would the Trials be like for other characters if they took them? Putting aside if they even would or even can in the first place.

How would Rem react upon seeing her kill Subaru in the second trial?

I don't know much about Clind, but the others are due seemingly mostly to gratitude. Say what you will of he's scheming and methods, but he did raise Fredrica, Garf, Rem and Ram, and he doesn't generally treat them poorly and will provide things for them and such. Although you can see in Garf's case, Garf isn't as grateful as Freddie is and doesn't really like him.

Never happened really, so I don't think the book could show that. It might be able to extrapolate the scenario since it is technically possible, but it wouldn't show that as the first trial.

Rem and Ram would have to deal with the oni villagers probably, Otto would have to deal with his magic autism, that sort of thing. But in a sense they've kind of made peace with these things already so I don't think it would cause that huge of a roadblock, maybe for Rem because she's kind of a mess.
