I had zero hope for Serika after Hinae's route and her one scene in Hana's route. It must hurt being Nono because your best friend despised you and killed your sister Yui and hurt your friend Itou. Sakuma probably wouldn't have done shit if Serika didn't come to him about murdering people. I am not sure how much murdering she did other than set them up and choose the targets. We know she chose Yui, Watabe, guy in the love hotel, and Riko.. The anime didn't explore the fact of how good friends they are. What surprised me was how much emotion she showed in Nono's route. I don't know if it was an act but she was seriously scary when she showed up when Takuru and Nono go out at night. I am not sure she wasn't doing it to make another game for Takuru or not, the only evidence I really have against is that her tears seemed very genuine when Takuru chooses Nono over her. Her crying at the end of the common route felt genuine and the end of the true route makes me unsure how much she truly felt.

Why is no one talking about how awful this episode was? It was the worst thing I've seen since the Chaos;Head anime. The Serika/Senri "fight" was literally them standing in front of each talking without moving at all, I don't know why they call it an anime when there's no animation. And then there was fifteen minutes of infodumping. That's it, that was the entire episode. Basically nothing happened, there was less animation than the VN, the reveals were all very poorly portrayed and it was basically a terrible episode.

It was terrible since the adaptation is too short for the amount of material. The reveals in the source material were amazing, the fight in common route was short but in Nono's route it was great. The info dumping would happen either way but it would be in shorter pieces.

I feel like I'll enjoy the VN a lot even after watching this to be honest, I don't dislike the adaptation like I did with C;H, which was so bad that I only wanted to read the VN to make sense of anything. You got the end of the common route down well enough, the true route is a little more tricky. She says that in a crying fit and that was the first time and maybe the only time after the reveal I fully believed her. Serika has scene some shit but she isn't a sociopath, death would be better than to not have something she can truly believe in. I think that is the root of why she hates Nono. Nono tried to help Takuru up front but ignored his 11 year old self's desires unlike Serika. Nono provided something Serika couldn't. Serika, despite thinking she knew everything about him, didn't actually know everything about him and didn't realize that it would have a monkey's paw effect. Why she made Yui a target I don't know unless I subscribe to Nono's theory that Serika is a jealous cunt. The only way she could misinterpret Takuru is some sort of cognitive bias that filters out Takuru's desires that she finds disagreeable.

Serika going full fire and passion in Nono's route was a shock. At the end of Hinae's route I thought she was just the height of focused robot amoralism but didn't actually have feelings herself. Her robot side might have been an act too.

Serika was fucking terrifying and committed far more sins than Senri has but goes apeshit over the one Senri has committed. Probably enjoyed slashing Nono open.
