It is what happens when some tumblerina decides to translate Japanese, a language that relies heavily on shit being conveyed via context (I mean, it is a language that uses what are basically images to convey concepts) in a literal, near word by word fashion.

It is basically barely a step up from translating
"このリンゴを食べたいですか"
as
"This apple here eat it is?"
instead of just understanding the meaning and then make an appropriate English sentence that would convey the same. In this case something along the lines of "Do you want to eat this apple?".
Now this is an easy sentence, shit only gets worse when the sentences and therefor the ideas needed to be conveyed become more complex.

That isn't to say that any of these LN's are necessarily high works of art when read in Japanese, but once shitty fan TLs get their hands on it you can be guaranteed any hint of brilliance gets erased. It is honestly less hassle to simply learn Japanese then scour the internet for that one good translator every time new material is released.
