I thought it was okay.
Uchikoshi still hasn't and probably never will top 999.

I don't hate it. I just thought it was awfully disappointing.

There are people that remember that this show existed?

It was incredibly underwhelming, though I am not familiar with the 999 games.

I think the whole pitch of the show is that it's supposed to look like a silly pantsu show on the surface, but subvert that by being an intricately plotted and intelligent show. However, instead of getting Pantsu Primer, we ended up with a plot that more or less fizzles and hinges on some incredibly dumb revelations packed into the back half of the episodes.

I really wanted to like this show going in, but instead of getting a big and meaty mystery with a colorful cast, I got an aimless feeling show with a terrible ending.
