The worst thing is that they carried the localization changes over to the anime.

It was pretty jarring to hear Maya say ramen and the subs say "hamburgers."

I usually steer clear from dubs, so don't have many examples to judge, but localization of Detective Conan, or should I say Case Closed, always makes me cringe and wonder why they even thought it to be necessary in the first place.
