Well it's true (at least before I dropped them all a year ago), because if I recall correctly there is no counter to his illusions in universe, and it operates differently than e.g. genjutsu, so the methods of breaking genjutsu won't work on his Bankai. Then he can either kill (in Naruto universe all are susceptible to bladed weapons (maybe sans some chars with regeneration) and in Bleach they have to have their powers turned on, see laser meme) or force them to kill each other (or maybe even themselves using some imaginative illusion) or at the very least force a stalemate.

Well he's a glass cannon, so if you have high enough speed and know what to expect you can kill him just as he releases it, before he can even move (or maybe even with lower speed because releases shikai does take a bit). Here's the thing, Aizen doesn't need his Shikai to beat people, his ability to fight without it is on part with the best of them, his expertise with a blade matches the best swordsmen in One Piece and his ability to use Hados can compete with anyone from Naruto, in addition to his speed and intelligence he could probably keep up with Marida, and on top of all that his Shikai is insane and he's not the type to tell people what his weakness is, and the cherry on top?
