I liked the movie for the bizarreness of it and the animation, but I agree it doesn't add much to the story. I liked the TV anime's ending as it is; I would have actually preferred she hadn't lost her memories and just lived happily ever after when she came back. The movie could have been good if it focused on Aki's mom, Izumi, and Fujima, none of this amnesia drama bullshit.

Still love the show though.

Sort of, but it wasnt really satisfying. They wouldve been better off just forgetting the plot and doing a movie about the everyday life of the characters because thats where the show shined anyways.
