Unless you had some sort of social anxiety as a teen, you really won't get the appeal.

It's ok. I wish it was a more serious show at times. I think it's still good but you sort need to relate to the anxiety aspect.

My problem with it I guess was the way they deal with anxiety is often completely ridiculous and unbelievable, and then it times its much more reasonable and believable.

I think it's an ok show at best and I would watch a 2nd season, but it could be so much better. But, none the less it at least stands out since Tomoko is an anti-moe girl, something you don't get every season.

I haven't watched the anime, but the manga is proabbly better. She has started developing a little and making some awkward friends.
