I remember when people were saying Action cards were better than the situational traps we've had before. I wonder those people feel now?

With the previous situational trap style, it could at least be disguised as dueling skills to some extent since they needed to drawn (which also means 1 less card in the hand for plays), need to be prepared first, and were susceptible to removal. With Action cards, it's literally just asspulls.

Arc-V was a fucking mistake and it makes me incredibly sad to watch the first 50 episodes and realize that just about everything that came after that has less impact on the plot than the fucking duels in ZeXal 1. At least when Yuma fought some fuck with a Number it was actually moving forward with shit, even if it was fucking stupid until Kaito showed up. This just all feels like 2 years of wasted time.

This whole series is a waste of time, nothing but shallow self righteous bullshit that knows it's self righteous bullshit but continues to do so because nobody cares. I just want to know what the fuck happened? What happened after Shinji lost to Yuya that made the writers just stop caring? That was the first and only duel I ever liked from Yuya, he was speaking about the cards, he was fighting for Yuzu, he was looking to change the audience's thoughts and he did it with his dueling, not by screaming catch phrases, making an ass of himself or trying to act high and mighty like a jesus figure.

Why couldn't he duel more like that?

It's like everybody was replaced with some sort of parody of themselves midway into the show. Gongenzaka's ultimate synchro is a fucking train? Gongenzaka, the duelist who never moves, Gongenzaka, the duelist who never uses spells and traps, gets a fucking train that relies on him having spells and traps in his graveyard as his ultimate monster?

What the hell? Is Shun's raidraptor rank 12 not gonna be able to attack every special summoned monster on the field or lower attack,too? Will it just be a 3500/4000 attack beater with negation effects?

Yuri used Super Poly, which was a one of a kind card in GX so Kaito not using Photon/Galaxies is inexcusable.

Kaito in the original Zexal didn't irrationally hunt his own allies either, but I would have had no problems with this if the staff spent time on Kaito repenting his own actions.
It really sucks that this all happened off-screen with no good explanation, and this applies to a LOT of characters in Arc-V like Shinji.

Even through it might not suck as much as Arc-V I can't get behind Vrains. Ono may not be directing this time but the duel writer and other writers will still be on this and since they've gotten away with god awful dueling and writing since the entire 3rd half of Arc-V whose to say they won't be doing it again? People are dueling on mobile boards again like the twins so they might throw in a gimmick to jusify the mobility like speed counters, speed spells and action magic again. Links are the new hotness and with the new extra deck limitations I wouldn't be surprised if the show starts out with only Yusaku being able to Link summon at first and everyone else just using 1 extra deck summons and sitting on it zexal style.

Then the rival appears, he's got links too for some plot reason and since Yusaku is a newbie, he'll show his power by using his Links to bring out another extra deck monster, probably an xyz, or a fusion or a synchro. Yusaku will probably lose this duel and it'll start off his path to learn the other methods.

After all, he's suppose to exist to try and give the game new players so he wouldn't understand links as well as his rival does, whose suppose to represent older players.

The guy just fucking vanished. Those trap cards of his were nasty as hell, he probably would of been able to corner Shun just like Yuya with those. They could of even had him confront Asuka or Edo if they wanted to keep him as a strong antagonist and agent of academia.

Can I just say that Sawatari got the shitty end of the stick. Was last week really his last duel? At Gon got something here. But Sawatari didn't even get that much respect. And Dennis is getting great animation next week, a character nobody cared about and now all of a sudden he matters to this dumb plot because "Lancers".

Actually Blackwings got the better treatment out of monsters that the legacy characters used.
Most of the new Blackwings had Assault in their name which helped them stand out from the original Blackwings yet support them at the same time.

I'd say that Arc-V Crow used too many new cards. He used around 10 new Synchros in the anime, which makes the favoritism among the legacy characters too obvious.

Finally, since Yusaku's a newbie and Links will obviously be part of some supernatural or data force, it will be created in his first duel. That is, if Decode Talker is his ace and not simply one of the first monsters he built his deck on.

Zarc jobfest was an original idea that should be tried again at some point. I like the idea of people coming in at different intervals to help with the battle, made it feel like a JRPG boss, which was fucking neato. Execution was as half-assed as anything in the last third, but the idea was genuinely really cool.

EGAO jobfest is just business as usual and therefore worse by orders of magnitude.
