I think this is the first time that an isekai story made me feel like I'm reading legit literature instead of below average otaku pandering shit. I think so far the only things that weren't keikaku doori were the goblin killing himself and the margrave blowing up his cave and none of them were serious enough to ruin his plans.
Volume 4 gave me the impression that he finally fucked up, since his assesment of how Paimon and Barbatos would react to his speech was completely wrong but in the end everything still went as planned.

I feel like were stuck in a Vinland Saga-like giant prologue. DD isn't the kind of story that should enable the protagonist so much. Maybe volume 5 will introduce a big upset that'll humanize Dandy a little but I'm not holding out any hopes. That was always a weird thing. I don't mind it as much, but people do complain about it a lot.
