WSJ. I am late as fuck today. Honestly? I forgot it was Monday. My sense of responsibility really slips since I've only got one manga in this magazine that I read regularly.
So
Boku no Hero Academia
Shokugeki no Souma
The Promised Neverland
We Never Learn
and the new series, U19 by Yuji Kimura. I don't know who that is.
Give me a bit to prepare the spreads and stuf.
new series to come, in the meanwhile
Demon Prince Poro's Diaries looks like something I wouldn't like even a little bit. Who's Hitsuji Gondaira?
alright, here we go

So it's Codename: Kids Next Door?
Doubt it's nearly as good.
>>153436244
We Never Learn is going to be the only good one.
>>153436184
Thank you for the dump Vizanon, as always. Honestly, I'm not impressed at all >>153436244. All those look like they will get axed. But, who knows, maybe I'm wrong, maybe some survives and became popular.
>>153437280
There has to be a better name than "Libido"; that just makes me think of horny kids.
Which isn't BAD per se, but probably not what the author wants.
>>153437280
>>153437558
>Adolescents who have awakened to libido powers
The author could go somewhere funny with this
He probably won't, seems like a mix of a weak main plot and everything else being very "traditional" shonen
>>153437464
oh I don't know
it's kind of charming
I'm chuckling more than I expected, at least.
>>153436184
You live!
also is that edgy harry potter?
Honestly, this artist seems more suited towards seinen. All of his adults look amazing, unique and expressive, while his teen heroes look kinda awkward and uncanny.
DDL: http://www88.zippyshare.com/v/ZFYhsRnw/file.html
Is this a trend in WSJ recently? This, Amalgam, and Love Rush at least have all had very early and very obvious love interests, but then something major happens that gets in the way.
>>153437898
Thought so too.

Agen-san has great tastes. Dark, underboob, wearing black. Good shit, mate.

>>153439650
Seems about right, but I can see WNL being axed as well.
It has the best chances of not being axed so far though, U19 is holy fucking shit what were they thinking tier.
>>153436278
It's the golden future cup winner so I a bit higher expectation compare to the first two.
But then again Devily Man was also a Golden future cup winner and that failed miserably
>>153439650
We should start making bets for this shit
U19 will get axed depending how the shonen action is, so we gotta see it in the next chapter I believe.
>>153439650

Fujo sports sell, even if they're shit
Neverland thread hit bump limit and disappeared so I'll post this here: Neverland got SECOND in this year's "This manga is sugoi!" ranking:

Rizu is a cute
>>153440152
That's nice. It's shaping up to be not quite a hit, but pretty popular.
>>153439650
Im surprised at how WNL has started, I thought it would be horrible from the get go but the first volume might be decent before its eventually cliche'd decline.
Hopefully its a short series that makes the shortstack deeper then autistic desires to win geimu.
>>153437951
You know, this series looks interesting, if kinda generic. I can't see it going for long, though.
>>153439994
>By the creator of Kuroko no Basket doing another sport manga
I could see this sell 10+ Vol easy.
>>153440543
Yeah, the concept is a bit on the uninteresting side, it will all depend on the execution and if the action is good
>>153436184
>Adult
>still reads Shonen Jump
>>153440152
That's fine, it deserves it.
I don't really like it but it's not terribly written or paced so I respect it in a way.

Eugenics out of fucking nowhere
>>153441268
You have a segregating society and it somehow surprises you that they decided to use eugenics to further segregate?
>>153437166
I'm really liking it so far, bur I can't help but worry it maight get either stale or delve into cliches as time pass.
I mean, it's a story about the guy helping them study. Aside a love triangle, it isn't like there is much that seem to be able to happen in it as it is. I'm liking it so far, but I feel it is going to get repetitive or cliche sooner or later
>>153439901
Hey, KND was the shit back in the day. It has promise
>>153441461
It's terrible.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's in the lower half of the rankings by week 3.

that panel I might look forward to this series. the premise makes mad as all hell and KND was fun, and the MC and Love interest already know their feelings of each other so it had 3 good points going for it so far.
>>153439093
it kinda makes sense. teens are at the height of sexuaity/sexual activity where they begin to learn, explore and maintain a new world. I like it, but still seems weird for a manga that doesn't seem to have an ero or fanservice in it.
>>153441378
not him but it definitely surprised meas you usually only see that in hentai. I mean they were segregating by sex, I honestly forgot I was reading a shonen manga and thought they were gonna start gangbang or breeding her in the next page.
>>153444351
Why the fuck are people still buying Bort?! That shit is actually selling pretty well for a fucking spin off. 4th highest after OP, Haikyu, MHA and Soma.
>>153445179
I know. We really need some divine intervention to have the thing die before whatever the hell was happening in the prologue comes to pass.
At this rate it could be worse than super, though at least naruto isn't really a dragonball tier classic.
Still, Kishimoto must have really hated it to give this the okay. It's doens't even look good.

>>153437951
I really enjoyed this first chapter of U19. I'm a sucker for action/romance stories where a boy and girl in love with each other are separated through unfortunate events, and have to struggle and suffer through many painful hardships in the hope of reuniting one day. (Sort of like the story "Return of the Condor Hero")
Kids vs Adults is always a stupid concept since adults is something kids are eventually going to become no matter what. Rebelling is like being a bunch of manchildren. Eventually there's a point where it just looks unsightly.
It's like if a bunch of caterpillars were going to rebel against butterflies. Adulthood is something you grow accustomed to and accept.
>>153448044
Don't get so butthurt over drawings, bitter old faggot.
Or do you want to show us where the small young mangaka hurt you?
>>153448160
I don't see how you got butthurt out of that. Bitterness yes but the only butthurt one is you.
>>153448382
You're getting mad over kids being the protagonists of a Chinese picture book made for children. You have a brain the size of a walnut.
>>153437464
>All right! This is me!
What did she mean by this?
>>153438780
megane a best
>>153448044
they're not rebelling the adults exactly, their rebelling against the system the adults put in place. I feel like its gonna be a plot point as kids they are now is when their mind/curiosity is unexplored tapped potential but when going through highschool the system destroys that potential and puts you in a box.
>>153449156
That's fine. I finished reading it. They're rebelling against a bunch of assholes. It's good at making me hate the people we're supposed to hate.
I was talking more in line with something like Captain Underpants. When looking back I realized the author is a straight up autist. I never noticed all the shit he injected about how shitty school and teachers are and how they're limiting his "creativity" and muh grown-ups. I didn't like school as much as the next guy but it's there for a reason. And it doesn't stop people from pursuing art and literature or writing children's books.
>Promised Neverland
This manga's pacing is fucking glacial and that makes me worry that they're completely making the story up as they go without actually having an overall plan. It's picking up but still, goddamn.
>>153449483

I think sport can be gender segregated.
There is also the possibility that they enrolled in different specialisations.
Or that he just returned to the classroom earlier.
Could also be that they just meet in Science class / Lit class?
>>153437166
I can see the potential for more pointless girls to get introduced already.
>principal tacks on more problem girls to get to college
>super studious girl is only good at academics but wants to be good at /sp/ and become /fit/
>hikki /a/ or /v/ girl gets forced to study in general
>/fa/ gyaru delinquent to get her shit together
>technologically inept girl wants to be more accustomed to /g/
>poorfag wants more $$$ with /biz/
>girl that wants to get into /ck/ but is shit
>/int/ that wants to learn a new language and travel abroad
>tone deaf girl that wants to git gud at /mu/ and become an idol or form a band
>someone that wants to get into /his/ for whatever fucking reason
The possibilities are endless. And that's scary.
U19 is basically Kids Next Door for teenagers. I do like the art at least.
Why do you hate U19 /a/?

>>153451542
The setting is too black and white which just feels like inexperience on the writer's part. It's kind of a similar setting to Neverland but the villains are 1-dimensional unlike mama and the whole premise is stupid unless he later says that everyone is brainwashed by the adult party or whatever. I guess a 11 year old edgy kid could agree with this kind of worldbuilding though.
>>153453980
The story reeks already (gut-feeling), but I don't feel like investing time to flesh out my argument.
I like the shitty translation to "Libido".
